On January 11, I appeared on a unique podcast in support of my new book, Wait, How Do I Write This Email?, a collection of 100+ templates for networking, the job search and LinkedIn.
The podcast is called “Veterans on the Move,” and each week host Joe Crane talks with military veterans who have gone on to entrepreneurial careers after their time in the service. This time around, Joe stepped outside his normal routine as I am not active duty or retired military.
Still, Joe felt it’s important to discuss writing skills like how to craft effective networking emails and LinkedIn profiles. Here in Virginia, I grew up (and still live) in a community with a large military presence, and I often see people struggle to transition to the civilian world after leaving the Navy, Army, etc…
That’s why it’s gratifying to help veterans as they start out on their own careers. Thanks, Joe Crane, for bringing me on the show.
