Over the past few years in the NBA, a player on the Philadelphia 76ers named Joel Embiid developed into an all-star performer by following a simple mantra:
Trust the process.
In the case of Embiid, “the process” meant becoming a better basketball player little by little until he emerged as a formidable talent.
What’s “the process” for your career? Where do you want to be, and what small steps must you take to always move in the right direction?
I know, I know. We all want to “get there” as soon as possible, but the big wins aren’t possible without the journey.
Stay hungry but stay patient.
“The process” takes as long as it needs to.
